What is the best wedding camera in 2026 if price doesn’t matter?

Not including a Sony option in this is ridiculous. An A7V, A1II, or A9III all could be argued are top of the list. I would argue that the A9III honestly is capable of things for weddings that no other body even is. With a true global shutter and crazy sync speeds it can do things you simply can't ac

Is rolling shutter really a big deal?

I have the Sony a7iv. I didn't even know " how terrible" of a sensor it has until I was watching a7v reviews. I went back and looked at some real world footage with whip pans. It was barely there and only if you knew what to look for. I laughed.

Are partially stacked sensors useless for photographing moving subjects?

No. You’re drawing completely incorrect conclusions. The Sony a7V has excellent sensor readout speed. Rolling shutter is very difficult to get in electronic shutter mode, especially compared to the previous a7IV. With the a7IV, I always had to switch to the mechanical shutter even when a person was

Switched from Sony FF to Fujifilm!

I still have two sony camera bodies, the a7v and the a7rv, along with several lenses. Last month I bought an xt2 with a 7artisans 35mm f/1.2 lens. Sony will probably remain my main tool for work because it has very helpful technology and excellent raw files for editing. But even though sony’s techno

Looking left to Full frame & Looking right to M43 for wildlife

I would go with a stacked sensor for wildlife. Blackout free shooting is a game changer. I purchased the OM-1ii on the a7v release date as a Sony shooter for wildlife and have no regrets. For Nikon you either get the Z8, or nothing.

current rx100 is being discounted by $200, could this mean the V8 is on the way?

RX100m3 was my Sony gateway camera and it has been a lovely journey. That thing still rocks (though I got a free upgrade to an m4 when the m3 lens got sand in it and I used the Best Buy warranty I bought). I dream about a modern version of it. Modern AF and color science. 10-bit video and whatever b

Electronic vs mechanical shutter?

If you expect fast movement like a propeller spinning or a flying tennis ball choose mechanical. Otherwise you can choose electronic. For wildlife the faster burst rate is helpful with electronic shutter. The Sony A7V has partially stacked sensor which provides you really fast readout speed, almost

Deciding between A7V and FX3

The FX3 is a terrific full-frame camera, but the crop mode is awful. If you're looking to use vintage lenses, or even modern S35 format cine lenses, then the A7v is a much better camera. If Sony updates the FX2 to the A7v's sensor and processor, that'll be even better. But there's no sign of that ha

FX3 or A7V as someone transitioning from photos to video

I own FX3, ZV-E1, A7iv and the new A7v. After some testings and a few field gigs, the A7v certainly has the better sony Autofocuse system and better in-body stabilizer, and sharper in-camera 4k video codec than FX3 and ZV-E1. Low light is shockingly as good as FX3 and ZV-E1 up to ISO 12800... ZV-E1
