This is the part I strongly disagree with. The difference is keeper rate and expectations. With a modern higher end mirrorless like Sony a7v Nikon Z6III or something, even a beginner can get like a 40% keeper rate, and a moderately skilled amateur can get into like 70% rate. But if you're shooting a

Fwiw, I have the Z7 II and the Z8. I don't notice the difference really in real world. And when you use the DPReview DR tool and adjust for 6 stops of recovery, the Z8 images look just fine against the A7V, Z7 II and A7R V. https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/image-comparison/fullscreen?attr144_0=nikon_z

I have both and I now use the a7v more. It’s the perfect hybrid camera, I think. Made a little vid talking about the various Sony cameras I have. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help. sony a7iv vs a7v vs a7cii vs fx3 https://youtu.be/oxD2bGmmfCk

Honestly the X-H2S is a great camera and in some ways has a better image/video specs than either Sony (open gate, 6K, ProRes or high data rate H265, great color). The biggest improvement you’ll notice is autofocus (Fuji AF is terrible) but the lenses are bigger and more expensive. If you do get a So

Which makes total sense given Sony has an explicitly dedicated line of video products now. The FX3 predated the A7IV by a few months but still at the time the FX/ZV line felt less established. They A7V brings their mid range photo camera up to near top specs for photo (Speed and AF near the A1II) an

Totally understand! Check out the Sony A7V or the OM1 mark II if you want a birding camera! Significantly cheaper than mine but still absolutely outstanding cameras! The OM1 is a great option that’s smaller, lighter, less expensive, but still extremely capable. The Sony A7V is almost as good as mine

There were a few reasons why I didn’t get along with the X100VI, and why I returned it to keep the RX1R III, even though I have an X-H2S (soon to be replaced by an as yet unknown Sony). The first was the autofocus performance. My X-H2S is acceptable, if not Sony good, but the X100VI is only ok in AF

I'm not sure if my response will still help you, but I'll share my thoughts in case someone else finds it useful. I currently use the OM-1 II +Pro lenses and I also have a FF birding setup. If you shoot a lot of BIF (birds in flight), I’d honestly suggest sticking with Sony. Sony still has the edge
