Pretending to be a Nat Geo photographer, most fun I've had with my camera
Sony A7iv + 200-600mm Was lucky enough recently to spend three days self-driving in the Kruger National Park, and after that a 4-day wilderness trail/walking safari. Was honestly the most fun I've ever had behind the lens. Had some 10000 photos on my drive by the end of the week. imo so much of safa

What distinguished the X-100vi from other cameras?
i take it everywhere. i never miss anything i want to photograph. i also love my a7iv but heck no i wont take this on any dog walk with me. it fits in every jacket bag. i snap something in the city and before i get home i have all my pics on my phone to send my family or friends. its a different lay

A day in the zoo!
It's a Sony A7IV. Pictures 3, 8 and 10 are taken with my Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 DG DN II Art lens which is in my opinion quite a powerhouse combi. The others are taken with a Canon 28-300mm 3.5 5.6 L IS USM lens using a converter. I inherited that one so although it's not the greatest combi ever, it sti

Would you switch S5II for a S1II (mainly stils)?
As someone who uses both, I can say it’s worth it for several reasons: – faster buffer – the camera is noticeably quicker overall — startup time, operation, opening playback – significantly better autofocus, especially for tracking people. The S5II sometimes struggles to pick up an eye in profile, w

Are there hand held cameras with an audit trail ?
Your best bet might actually just be a Google Pixel 10 phone, which complies to the same C2PA content credentials standard as the Nikons you mentioned and the Sony u/Foot-Note mentioned. Like all phones it will perform some kind of image processing that may be too obscure and inconsistent to meet yo

This print took me 5 months to create... my largest image of the Milky Way ever! Details in the comments.
About a year ago I had a client commission this door-sized print from me. Little did I know it was far beyond my technical abilities both shooting but particularly processing wise. I shot the sky with both my Sony a7iii and a7iv and 85mm 1.8 lens over the course of four nights. I used my Skyguider p

A7SIII looks like it won't have shutter angle
I dont mind shutter angle. I’d much rather have variable shutter / ecs. Shutter angle vs speed is a habit, quality of life thing. Variable shutter makes shots usable or unusable. I have the A7iv, siii and fx6. For some ungodly reason, every screen, projector, etc. will flicker, even when the shutter

New to me Audi TTS '08
The first thing I had to do with my new car was to photograph it in this parking garage in my home town! It was also a good way to practice light painting, a technique where you light all individual panels of the car and then combine them in photoshop. The previous owner looked after the car so well

What small changes to your workflow, kit or process had the biggest impact on your photography?
I bought an iPad to import and edit my photos on. Makes it much less of a chore to get started, and it’s very pleasant to just work on a single photo for a couple minutes and have it automatically sync it to Lightroom. In terms of kit, I’ve opted for more compact lenses over the best of the best, so

First Photography Gig!
Hi, congratulations on your first gig! I do event photography as part of my job. I'd suggest sticking with the 24-105 only. It will cover all of your focal length requirements. I'm a believer in keeping it simple and not having too may kit choices. The a7iv and the 24-105 is a great camera lens comb
