i shot on an a7ii for years and low light was always a battle. the sensor just gets noisy fast. the best advice i can give is to expose to the right (ETTR) without clipping, even if it looks bright on the crappy LCD. having a decent external monitor with false color or waveforms helps immensely with

A7ii related buying advice?

Depends on the condition of the camera - if it is in excellent condition then that is about what they sell for. The value of the A7ii swings up and down -- it was released 11 years ago. I have an A7II, amongst other cameras. If I were starting all over again then I'd have a good look at the Nikon Z6

Thinking to get into Nikon Z.
