My friend wants to buy one of these 3 cameras, can you help her decide please?

Squeeze juuust a little bit more and buy the a6100 which has far better AF than any of them plus 4k video. Also she will need better lens than the kit ones

Did I overreach ?

I have a Sony a6100 and a Sigma 30mm f/1.4. You did not make a mistake. I have a good variety of lenses and I always come back to the 30 mm. You may decide to use a zoom lens in the near future, but this is a great lens. Not only to start, but overall.

Hello am looking to buy my first lens as a beginner videographer and I was looking for used lenses and I saw this 2 they both are 400 dollars and I was wondering which one should I go with am planning to use it for mostly short films, car video, food videos and for personal vacation. Cam: Sony a6100

28-75 for sure, super sharp lens and the constant 2.8 aperture is nice. Plus it’s smaller so great for travel when paired with the a6100. I’ve shot dozens of weddings and product shoots with that lens!

Is 525mm enough for wildlife? Is Sony E mount (APSC) a future-proof mount?

2: Sony is a very future proof mount - more so than M4/3 certainly. Broadly there is no reason to expect any current mount to go away except for financial reasons, and as Sony E is the most used mirrorless mount it is the least likely to go away. 1: Your bigger limitation will likely be the a6000's

Camera for beginning sports photography

The issue is the range you’ll get. I shoot with the Sony a6100 which is the entry level mirorless. But I then use a Tamron 150-500 or a 70-180 depending on the lighting. The lens are more expensive then my camera. If you go for a Black Friday deal on the Sony a6100 + used f/4 lens you might get a be

Is it worth going with the EOS R50 over the EOS R100?

It depends on what you want to do, how much you might spend in the future, and if you are okay with buying used: The a6100 is a very similar camera to the R50 - both of them have a plastic body, good autofocus, decent video, and very similar image quality. The design of the body is different of cour

The Tamron 28-75 is an INCREDIBLE lens. 100% go for that one. I use it regularly. If I had to choose just 1 lens to work with for a whole day of shooting, it would be that one (and have done). Autofocus is very fast and responsive on it too, if you’re using it with a Sony (not sure about your model

My Paris trip in July

If I had to start over with a limited budget I'd probably get a Sony alpha 6100, or if budget allows, the 6400. Both have interchangeable lens and will last you a long time. They also come with decent lens included, great for beginners to learn! But honestly, Nikon, Sony, Canon all have some great b
