After falling for full frame propaganda... I'm amazed by M43
You have to be blind to not see the Sony/FF propaganda online, if you on YouTube 95% of photography content revolves around Sony/Canon/FF and newbies to be hobby basically think mirrorless camera = Sony because they get brainwashed so much when in reality Olympus and Panasonic mop the floor with Son

How is the autofocus on the Z6iii and Z5ii?
Short answer: generally, yes, Nikon's latest generation of cameras is going to be better than any Sony APS-C body at AF. Long answer: about 5 years ago AF in mirrorless made a generational leap in performance, the first since we got PDAF on-sensor with the Nikon V1/J1, and saw significant improvemen

I forgot my 35mm f/1.4 S at a night event and had to rely on the 24-120mm f/4 instead — and honestly, I couldn't be happier with how it performed. Shot this at ISO 20,000 on z8. What do you all think?
I started with Nikon d5100 back in 2015. Later, I moved to the mirrorless due to the size and third party lense availability of Sony. However, Sony doesn’t offer everything in one body, except for the A1. But for the kind of work I do, it felt like an expensive setup to hold on to. I got a great dea

Worth Switching from Sony to Nikon Z for Wildlife? (Z8 + Adapted Older Primes vs PF Lenses?)
I shoot primarily birds/wildlife and I have used all of Sony's modern bodies a lot in the field. I do some instruction and I have a good relationship with my LCS so I end up spending a lot of time behind a wide variety of gear in real world scenarios. If you can afford the switch to Nikon, it is a n

Ouch there definitely is some people who dont like m43😅
There was an example like that on r/sonyalpha where it was a Sony A1 vs a P&S and the differences were not huge..

for next time someone says android cameras are terrible
honestly nothing crazy, and skill matters more than the camera. A good professional photographer with a nikon d90 and a 18-200mm lens will take much better pictures than most people with a sony a1 ii with every g master lens at their disposal

Help me out with a setup please
Not sure why so many folks defer to mirrorless or DSLR for this application. I’ve created 100s of lacrosse recruiting videos over the last 10 years and I always shoot with a video cam … and I have a Sony A1 ii. My game camera is a Sony PXW Z200. You need remote zoom and at least 18X optical zoom. Yo

New to X-H2S: Serious problems with basic concepts compared to Sony A7IV and A7SIII
Thanks for the reply. Over time I have rented the R3, R5, R6,and R6II, along with the RF 100-500. The first R5 and R6 underwhelmed me, but that was at a time when Canon was still struggling with firmware issues that were finally gone with the R3 and R6II. Their weakness (except for the R5) for me wa

Looking for an ecosystem, could it be Nikon?
1: I believe that in general, Nikon tends to give the best bang for buck; but this is nuanced and heavily dependent on specifics. (Example): the Z8 is probably a better value for most things than a Canon R5ii or Sony A1. Nikon tends to put all their tech in all of their cameras; and Canon tends to o
