Budget Lowlight Sensors?

Used A7Sii Can be had cheap, still has low light capabilities that is only really surpassed by the 3, and you can adapt your EF glass EDIT: You can remove the 30 min record limit by installing the playmemories tweak app. I've used it for years and it's never failed

Please explain me: what is the "Sony look"?

DP i AC for still uses his FS7’s! They are work horses. His workflow is dialed in. I have been shooting on Sony for the past 8 years now. Mainly because i was touring with bands and constantly shooting in low light situations. So at the time, the A7sii was the best option. Now i run an a7iv. If anyt

Is Sony still the low light king?

i shot northern lights with the A7s II and felt the same about that noise reduction. the FX3 and A7s III are better but still have some of that digital feel in shadows. for organic noise the Panasonic GH5S or S5 II actually give you a more filmic grain structure in low light. also look at the Nikon

What is the best all around camera for storm chasing

If you are more trying to get photos than videos. Look into used DSLR’s. Mirrorless cameras are all the hype and deservedly so. However, they are expensive even used. You can get a prosumer or pro level camera in picture quality and features for less than what the entry level mirrorless cameras are.

Sony z ev 10 vs a6100

Well i would suggest you got a fullframe camera rather than a crop sensor. If a new one dsnt fit your budget try getting a 2nd hand. There are a lot of a7iii & a7sii for sale..way better options to do pro level work in the long run. Along with a 35mm 1.8 or maybe a 16-35 + 50mm 1.8 should be perfect

3 fast moving objects captured with infrared camera - Nov. 24, 2025 around 10pm PST - Los Angeles, CA

Great to hear you are interested in starting! We need more cameras pointed towards the sky, day and night. I'm using a Sony A7SII converted to Full Spectrum IR by the talented people at LifePixel. The A7SII is a great place to start because it is inexpensive and you can adapt many different lenses t

Old Sony Users Who Switched To Panasonic; Any Regrets?

I have shot with a Fujifilm X-H1 with the battery grip and big lenses, an A7SII with a huge cage and accessories, and the A7C I currently use has a Tilta cage with at least 2 accessories on it at all times. So I'm happy, if not happier with a bigger alternative because having a heftier rig makes it

200-800 USD Budget, Confused, Any Begginer Device For Me?

Thanks for the reply.I looked at similar models from other brands. Initially, I was considering the A7III, but then I downgraded a bit to a cheaper model. I decided on the A7sII. Looks like Sony A7SII (330-500 USD) + 50mm f/1.8 (170-250 USD) is perfect match for me. %60-70 video, %30-40 photo. IBIS,
