Should I upgrade my pocket camera to full frame for 3 week photography trip?

7 years ago I did the same but I sold my canon g9x for a a6000 for a trip to Africa. For me it was a negative experience. A pocket camera is way more easy to carry around. If you dont know it. Just buy the ACii or a6700 and take the rx100 VII to Japan too. And see what works doe you. But for me it d

Best lightweight setup ever

I can be a massive jerk being 100% serious, so let's go. 7CR/7CII is lighter than the A6700, has better battery life, better resolution (R has MUCH better resolution), and better low light sensitivity. The idiot actually bought APS-C lenses 🤭 silly head, you buy full frame lens for when you grow up

Sony A6700 + Sigma 17-40mm + 70-350mm contre Sony A7C II + Sigma 28-70mm

You will need APSC lens that is 1.5x sharper in lp/mm to produce an image with the same overall sharpness (in lp/ph) as an FF setup. This is not likely the case, and thus FF setup often produce sharper image. Here's some of the sharpest Fuji APSC primes compared to FF. XF16mmF2.8 R WR (63 lp/mm cent

Is there anyone who has used both Sony and Olympus cameras?

I currently shoot an A6700. I previously shot m43 for 10 years, with these cameras: EM5 mark1, EM5 mark2, EM1 mark2, Lumix GX9. With regard to sizes, it's not as straightforward as you might think. APSC has really caught up in compact lenses. But the absolute smallest ones like 14mm f2.5, 15mm f1.7,

having looked into picking up a Sony APSC camera myself I was really disappointed that the a6700 is kind of enormous

OM-3 or A6700 for travel?

I really liked my OM-3! It's super portable - deffo more than the A6700, and it's really capable at higher ISOs and shutter speeds as well. I cannot speak on the 6700, but I had a friend of mine who used theirs for event photography who liked my small fast primes.

Received my a6700 and kit lens. More than a little annoyed.

Funny, the a6700 is by no means tiny. You make it seem like its one of these small digital pocket camera. For me its quite on the heavy side with the lens attached.

First two weeks with the GR4

I think you're right. Realistically I won't be taking an a6700 everywhere I go.

Mixed system user at a fork in the road. Lumix Vs Sony?

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. Honestly, I would consider a crop system for the weight difference alone. I'm getting older and need all the help I can get. The biggest drawback is the single card slot on the A6700, I just can't shoot a wedding with one storage source. Even though I'm from the days

Two lens I wishes for m43 from Sigma

I've got the 10-20mm f4 for Sony, it's the smallest UWA zoom for any system and G level sharpness. Great lens for landscapes. Unfortunately the A6700 is such a chunky body to pair with it.
