[OC] I photographed the beautiful town of Ketchikan, Alaska with a "tilt-shift" camera lens
I had some Amazon credit built up after some recent returns, so just before I left on a family cruise to Alaska last week, I blew it all on a 7Artisans 50mm tilt-shift lens. It’s got some real issues but overall it's a ton of fun! I spent my morning a couple days ago sitting on the fantail of the cr...
[OC] I took a pic during a sumo match
My wife organized a family outing to a really cool “Sumo + Sushi” event this past weekend at the Palace of Fine Arts theater in San Francisco. We got there early and were among the very first people escorted to our “General Admission” seats on a raised platform dead center of the ring. The show itse...
The Nikon ZR Can Record 6K 59.94p for More Than 2 Hours Despite No Active Cooling
That's quite impressive. I'm picking up an a6700 this week and one of the gripes is that it overheats very quickly when recording 4k.
Should I switch from Sony to Fuji? Or is it just GAS
So I made the switch from Sony apsc and now ended up here in Fuji land (a6700 to canon r7 to the xt5). I get the Sony not being fun, it felt very rinse and repeat, ending up with a shit ton of photos that I didn’t know what to do with (mostly repeats). 100% shooting to shoot rather than being a phot...
Am I missing something?
The point OP is making is valid and it's a hard pill for some of the people in our community to swallow. We often have posts on here talking about how wonderfully small and compact, yet capable our cameras are, which is true of the older M43 bodies - it's certainly the reason I joined the M43 platfo...
Should I upgrade my pocket camera to full frame for 3 week photography trip?
7 years ago I did the same but I sold my canon g9x for a a6000 for a trip to Africa. For me it was a negative experience. A pocket camera is way more easy to carry around. If you dont know it. Just buy the ACii or a6700 and take the rx100 VII to Japan too. And see what works doe you. But for me it d...
ITAP of my girlfriend! [Portrait]
This was taken with a Sony A6700 and Sigma 18-50mm lens, using exposure bracketing for the first time, handheld. Moderately edited in post. Please critique! Really makes me regret not using exposure bracketing at times in the past to capture amazing sunsets while keeping the subjects lit!
Which feature from rival brands do you wish Canon would finally copy, improve, and build into their cameras?
More compact bodies like the Lumix S9, Sony a6700, etc. With or without a viewfinder. R50V is the closest we have right now but I don't need the video focused aspects of it. A model or two focused on photography first instead of trying to be a hybrid camera. I mean really focused on photography. Lik...
Bet It All On Black Garlic Burger
Haha, but no, it's all done by myself. Got into photography in the end of 2023. All shot with Sony Alpha 6700 on my kitchen table and still warm enough to eat after the quick photo. Thank you!
Z50II announced
No ibis is a miss. The A6700 is a top selling camera despite costing as much as some full frame alternatives. Hopefully they have an answer to it planned.
