I have an actual hardware device meant for playing spatial audio and it was far from cheap (Sonos Era 300). And it still doesn't really work. You have to jump through a bunch of hoops to set it up and it only works with Apple Music (except you still have to use the Sonos app). Limiting my complaints

I use the "Sleep" radio station on Amazon Music played through my Sonos Era 300 at level 15 and sleep soundly. No elaborate matrix of pills needed.

I did’nt know this was possible, but It doesn’t work for me when AirPlay to a Sonos Era 300 pair or to Sonos Arc. I’ll try on my Denon 5.1.4 setup later

You will not get to experience dolby atmos from Apple Music on sonos unless you’re streaming music through Apple Music inside sonos app. As you mentioned that via airplay and through your pc or TV you won’t get dolby atmos on sonos without their soundbar.
