Listened to Sonos Speakers Today and they Sound Worse than my $100 Edifier Speakers
Today I got to listen to 2 Era 100’s and a Sonos Arc and I’m surprised that for the price point they sound worse than my $100 Edifier Bookshelf speakers! Am I imagining this or do Sonos speakers sound robotic and a bit “un-dynamic” if that makes sense?
It’s such a shame for the price point…

Sounds bad?
I think what you’re hearing makes sense.I used Era 100s as fronts myself for a while, and they were okay, but to me they were never the best front solution. I later ran Era 300 as fronts with Era 100 as surrounds, and that sounded very good. After that I bought Sonos Fives and now use Fives as front

Where would you place speakers in this room?
I currently have 6 Mirage satellite speakers mounted on the ceiling like the 2 seen in this photo. I really want to upgrade to much better speakers but am having difficulty choosing which kind (satellite, bookshelf, floor standing, etc.) and where to place them given the odd layout of this room.
I

My Hi-Fi Hobby Is Basically the Gartner Hype Cycle in Disguise
Someone needs to put images of speakers at each point of change. What would go where? Innovation Trigger: Vizio Soundbar Peak of Inflated Expectations: KEF LS60 Trough of Disillusionment: Sonos Era 100 Plateau of Productivity: Magnepan LRS+

One or two Sound Lite for my home gym?
It's going to depend a lot on the room (shape, surfaces, speaker placement) and what you're going for or what you didn't like about the other ones you've tried. To me, the Sound and Sound Lite sound better than a Sonos Era 100 but not quite as good as a Sonos Five. If you're at a place where you can

Wall-mounted speakers for my work studio advice?
Good evening,
Being a novice and trying to inform myself as best I can, I’m posting here.
Opening a 47 m² studio workspace, I’m looking to install wall-mounted speakers that I could control from my phone to play music.
I was thinking of going with Sonos Era 100 or Era 300 but quite a few comments

Spotify Connect has disappeared
I do not agree at all. I think it really depends on what you use it for. I think most people complaining on the app use B&O’s ear-/headphones and not their Beolab/Beosound speakers. I use it for a Theatre, Beolab 28s, Beolab 8s and Beosound 2, and is generally happy with the software. I previously h

IS this a good place to start?
No problem, I guess not many people here will be using Sonos, so thought I'd jump in and reply. I'm using a budget Sony turntable , with my old trusty Kenwood amplifier. From that I go into the Sonos Era 100's - although I do have a pair of Dynaudio monitor speakers too, for better sound quality lis

Era 100 Pair with Sub?
I’ve had problems with stereo pairing Era 100s in the Sonos app. It’s always dropping a speaker and my Sub.
How can I do this with SonoSequencr instead?

Beogram 1902 to Sonos Era 100?
I don’t have much experience with Sonos, so take this as you will. Just looking at the Era 100 specs, you will need a phono stage with a DIN connection or a DIN to RCA adaptor if your phono stage doesn’t have a DIN input, a cable to connect the phono stage to the Sonos Line-In adaptor (something lik
