people have lost their minds at movie theaters in this town
I’ve more or less stopped going to theaters because of this kind of nonsense. It was just as bad if not worse in Chicago. I used to see several movies a month. Anyway, my home experience is much better now so I don’t even miss it, and it can be done relatively cheaply. I have a few Sonos speakers an

Dual HomePods mini vs Era 300 vs Dual Era 100s for Apple TV/Infuse?
For movies in a bedroom I suggest paired set of HomePods 2. It will give you Spatial Audio/Atmos and music will sound good. Spotify still plays through airplay or AppleTV app. Sonos era 300 can compete with a paired set but that would be only music. AppleTV would send audio through airplay and would

My minimalistic setup
Went from a Sonos surround set (Beam gen2, 2x Era 100 and Sub mini) to the A9’s, with the purpose to enjoy active music listening. I am using an AppleTv to stream to sound of movies to the speakers. Active music listening went up from 0% to about 50/50 (music/movies).

Recommendations to replace old deviolet sound box
Sonos beam gen 2 is very good. Not an overpowering sound but plenty loud enough. Can add rears if you want to and even a sub woofer.

Samsung 5.1.2 soundbar and Pro setting
There is no clearly right or clearly wrong option. AV Amplifier mode allows for specific multichannel config selection, but you run the risk of incorrectly identifying how many channels you have (maybe one thinks they have 7.1, but this is a true 5.1 setup). If you select Soundbar, then you rely on

2026 Frame Pro supports eARC directly from the TV
This is our family room Frame TV, I think my Sonos Beam Gen 2 blends in quite well.

Audio - linear PCM or Atmos
So I’m using a Sonos Beam (Gen 2) and Sonos Sub mini with my LG G4 tv.
I’m no audiophile so frankly cannot tell much difference other than Atmos seems to be louder.
However I like the comfort of knowing I’m using the optimum settings. I’ve obviously done a search but I’m getting mixed answers.

AAC 5.1 but only getting Stereo PCM? (Sonos Beam Gen2/ARC connection)
Hi all,
Here’s my setup -
- Hisense U8QF
- Chromecast / Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 (same issue on both)
- Sonos Beam Gen 2
- Connected with ARC (not eARC)
- TV audio set to passthrough
- Plex audio set to passthrough
- No plex pass
I also have a setup with an LG CX/Sonos Arc so I don’t want to convert all my AAC a

New Shield Pro user + LG C5 OLED
Yes, the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is compatible with standard DTS Digital Surround 5.1. However, it does not support advanced formats like DTS:X or DTS-HD Master Audio. Still going to sound a hell of alot better then your tv speakers.

Best 300€ soundbar
I’m new to Hisense, but had a Sonos setup oh beam gen 2, mini sub and rear Sonos sl speakers, appreciate you might not have the room but going to the soundbar was one step up, going to full surround sound elevates it even further.
