Why I returned the Sonos Arc Ultra and Era 300s, and kept HomePods for my home theater
I recently purchased, then later returned, the Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300’s with stands, which I was intending to replace my stereo pair of HomePods (2nd gen).
I returned them, concluding that they weren’t an upgrade from HomePods. I’d read and watched so many reviews and testimonials, and ever

How come LTT doesn't do more home theater videos ??
Home theatre is a whole different price bracket than PC gaming. Even with the inflated prices of GPUs and other parts lately, the price of a gaming PC comes nowhere close to what a good home theatre would cost. Even looking at something "basic" like the Sonos Arc Ultra that they showcased on Short C

New System
My condolences for your loss. Raising a glass to the wonderful new system and transition. And clearly a wife that supports the hobby. My system (B&W 803 D4’s fed by a CA EVO150) is tucked and configured into as small a footprint as humanly possible. Not ideal, but still sounds way better than our So

Does speaker size matter to you?
No. I had a 5.1 system with vintage floor speakers on the corners. She who must be obeyed wanted it to go. I have a Sonos Arc Ultra, wireless sub, and ERA 300 surrounds. It looks sleek with the soundbar on a bracket below the wall bracket but it’s vastly inferior.

2025 frame (non pro) with Apple TV
I have the 2025 non-Pro Frame and an Apple TV. By default, turning the Apple TV off does not go to Art Mode but instead shows that the HDMI connection is disconnected screen. But if you create a routine in the SmartThings app, you can set the TV to go into Art Mode whenever "HDMI 1" is off. This doe

Sony Bravia Theatre Quad + Bravia 8 II as Center vs Theatre Trio + Rear 9 + Dual SW9 – Which would you choose?
The big plus from my previous Sonos Arc Ultra is the much wider soundstage at the front. Previous all the sound came from the TV area (soundbar). Now I can put the Quad-speakers into the edge of the room, many meters away. This gives a very wide soundstage. The TV sounds like a center channel and wo

I Tried Sonos Sequencer, It Was Not Good
🤣 this gave me a good chuckle. I have an arc ultra w/ dual subs and era 300s as rears, and I switch between using era 100s fronts. I also use to sell premium audio at best buy for a few years. 1st, Sonos is not a "real 5.1 home theater", and adding fronts still doesn't make it quite one. With the be

Bose is back in your living room, and Sonos should be worried
Same but I only have the one Ultra soundbar(unless you count the QC15 which still works) and have been waiting for new surrounds and I guess I'm SOL. Hell, I might just switch to an Arc Ultra even though I prefer the Bose bar when I tried the Arc Ultra out. Sonos supports I think everything they've
