Why I returned the Sonos Arc Ultra and Era 300s, and kept HomePods for my home theater
I recently purchased, then later returned, the Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300’s with stands, which I was intending to replace my stereo pair of HomePods (2nd gen).
I returned them, concluding that they weren’t an upgrade from HomePods. I’d read and watched so many reviews and testimonials, and ever

How come LTT doesn't do more home theater videos ??
Home theatre is a whole different price bracket than PC gaming. Even with the inflated prices of GPUs and other parts lately, the price of a gaming PC comes nowhere close to what a good home theatre would cost. Even looking at something "basic" like the Sonos Arc Ultra that they showcased on Short C

Okay, my life has changed
Ok. A Sonos 5.1 system will cost somewhere between 2,000 and $3,000 (if using with an arc ultra) My 5.1 system is Denon x1700h AVR, Polk r300 center, xt20 fronts, xt15 surrounds, XT12 sub. Everything was manufacturer refurbished (which as we know from Sonos means exactly the same as brand new) and t

What devices do you use for music with Dolby Atmos?
Sonos ARC Ultra, Era 300 (SS), Sub 4(2) and Sonos 5’s as L/R front with SomosSequencer. ATV with 26,4 RC. It iz not insanely good.

Era 300 in Sonosequencr: Sonos’ most versatile speaker?
You seem to be one of the few that thinks the 300 is better than the 100 in front. Most other posters who have tried multiple rank Five, then 100 and 300 last as a front. The reason being the disabled drivers on the 300s vs the 100s and the Five using all drivers. Can you confirm which drivers are a

Era 300 in Sonosequencr: Sonos’ most versatile speaker?
Thanks thats very helpful, great to know more than just the front tweeter active as has been reported when used as fronts and why the reports where poor thin sound. I wonder if there are some difference between arc and arc ultra use or some other issues involved like some reporting surrounds are qui

Bravia Theatre bar 9 or 8?
I don’t have any audio systems right now. Eventually I want to spend $ on AVR and speakers but have little kids who are going to break my expensive stuff, so thinking of just sticking with a beam/sub Sonos for now. Arc ultra seems nicer but why spend that on a temporary situation is my thought.

Sonos to WiiM?
Yeah, I think I’ve figured some of this out by using AirPlay to the WiiM Mini and whatever Sonos speakers I want to include. Then, if I also want to include any of the WiiM products like the Amp Pro or WiiM Ultra that doesn’t have airplay, I can link those devices with the wiim mini in the wiim app…
