Why I returned the Sonos Arc Ultra and Era 300s, and kept HomePods for my home theater
I recently purchased, then later returned, the Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300’s with stands, which I was intending to replace my stereo pair of HomePods (2nd gen).
I returned them, concluding that they weren’t an upgrade from HomePods. I’d read and watched so many reviews and testimonials, and ever

New System
My condolences for your loss. Raising a glass to the wonderful new system and transition. And clearly a wife that supports the hobby. My system (B&W 803 D4’s fed by a CA EVO150) is tucked and configured into as small a footprint as humanly possible. Not ideal, but still sounds way better than our So

Does speaker size matter to you?
No. I had a 5.1 system with vintage floor speakers on the corners. She who must be obeyed wanted it to go. I have a Sonos Arc Ultra, wireless sub, and ERA 300 surrounds. It looks sleek with the soundbar on a bracket below the wall bracket but it’s vastly inferior.

I Tried Sonos Sequencer, It Was Not Good
🤣 this gave me a good chuckle. I have an arc ultra w/ dual subs and era 300s as rears, and I switch between using era 100s fronts. I also use to sell premium audio at best buy for a few years. 1st, Sonos is not a "real 5.1 home theater", and adding fronts still doesn't make it quite one. With the be

SonoSequencer + Apple Continuous gave me my music back ❤️
So I have basically your exact same set of speakers (Arc Ultra, 100s fronts, 300s rears, dual subs) and agree that while home theater is great, music has always left something to be desired. Super interested to try what you've done but have a couple major concerns: Don't you lose the Atmos from the

Even if audiophiles dislike Bose, what do they like about the brand at all?
I always HATED the sound of the Arc. I much preferred the sound of the playbar. I've not tried the Arc Ultra as I'm minimizing further investment in Sonos. They continue to struggle with their app and while it's 10x better than when they first released the new architecture, it's still not where it w

LG Immersive Suite 5 Pro — 3 weeks with Sound Suite vs. my Sonos Arc setup (& my dedicated theatre)
It also needs more sound profiles because the current ones are not really enough. If they introduced a slider for how much AI upmixing you want to be done, that would be nice because I find myself loving it in some aspects but not others. Aside from the flexibility and superior bar compared to the A

Surround Sound for Bravia 8
What do you mean by optimize? The best surround system will have floor speakers and a sub. I went from a 5.1 system with floor speakers to a Sonos Arc Ultra, wireless sub, and wireless ERA 300 rears to satisfy she who must be obeyed. It’s a premium soundbar setup but vastly inferior to my old 5.1 sy

Some issues I noticed with AVDVplus R9 on Ugoos AM6B+. Any fixes?
My Sonos Arc Ultra has a lip sync setting but it's manual and I haven't enabled it. It's shitty, Sonos only gives you 5 values to choose from, 1-5. That's why I tried using Kodi's Audio Offset setting. Works much better. But hard to get it exactly right.
