My Modest Home Gym

Looks great! I had a big gym previously in old place. I found a lot of my equipment was underused and spent more time on planning elaborate workouts, than actually using equipment. My new gym is 10ft x 6ft to share space for the kids play area and have found it’s more than enough. Also highly recomm

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of October 24, 2025

My Snode AD80s have just arrived. The reasoning for these were a mix of durability and cost. I ultimately decided against the rep x peppins bc of cost, and bc I can’t stand caged dumbbells. I plan to purchase the M-Plate magnetic add on weights to allow for 5 lb increments. Total for the AD80s was $

Adjustable Dumbbells - Yay or Nay?

Snode AD80’s with the 2.5lb magnets. Love them. Use them everyday. 10lbs to 85lbs. Quick to change. (Some of them are ridiculously arduous) Drop tested up to 3 feet. (And no plastic internals) Form factor of 50lb hex dumbbells. (Can’t handle powerblocks and others with the weird bars)

Adjustable dumbbells for garage gym

It kinda depends how heavy you are going. If you only need 50lbs, any on fb market is fine. Even the bowflex ones if you can get it for cheap. If you’re going up to 80lbs I probably recommend snode, mx or trulaps. I have the nuobells which are FANTASTIC but I only love them bc I got it for really ch

Longterm Nuobells

This summer got bombarded by nuobell adds and thought it was time, went down the reviews and ended up with Snode AD80’s with 2.5lb magnets to give a 10-85lb in 5lb increments. Designed to be dropped, metal internals. Fantastic purchase.

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of October 10, 2025

Major fitness B52 is a really solid all in one squat rack/smith machine with a dual cable system. $1500 base price without any coupons or deals for the option without a weight stack. If you’re considering a weight stack then you can go with the “pro” version. That option is to $2500. It can get pric

best adjustable dumbbells or biggest waste of money for a home gym?

I've been using adjustables at home for about 15 years now, they're great if you know which ones to pick because there is a lot of junk out there! Now it's definitely not going to be as nice as a full set of fixed dumbbells, especially if you like to be rough and drop your dumbbells, most adjustable

Garage Gym Build - What to buy?

I just bought the Snode AD80 adjustable dumbbells. They are 80 lbs and full cast iron. I’m very pleased with them so far. I’ve read that adjustables can break due to plastic internals but the snode have metal internals are are warrantied against drops! Got 10% off for Memorial Day so all in was like

HOME GYM DUMBBELL DEBATE

Update. I appreciate everyone’s thought and input. After extensive research and considering my girlfriend I decided to go with snodes ad80. I got some adder plated for the inside and outside of the dumbbell for extra weight if needed and to account for the 10 pound jumps. Seems durable, great warran
