Bambu Lab 3D printers: Never again - Jeff Geerling
Like what? In my experience the only one with similar print quality and reliability are the Prusa machines. They are great, but cost significantly more than Bambu. Elegoo CC? Nope Snapmaker U1? Maybe Any creality? Hell no.

With the snapmaker U1 campaign a success do you forsee bambu making a tool changer printer in the near future vs AMS?
All the kickstarter has proven, is that there is a massive desire from users for a tool changer, which we already knew since the XL (people want the tech but don’t want to shell out the big bucks) The Snapmaker U1 is great on paper, but their previous offerings have been subpar at best Having a succ

Toolchangers now sub 999 USD/Euro. How do we feel?
I mean - We will see how things go. There have been far too many times where everyone jumps on board with something that doesn't turn out to be all that great. Snapmaker doesn't magically become a better company capable of producing better machines just because the U1 has released and is starting to

Curious about Snapmaker U1
Haven't tried changing spools mid print. Not having purge is great, multicolor is 50-70% faster and cheaper. To this regard, machine is great. I have both Bambu and the U1. U1 build quality is good. Not super great, but very good. Prints quality: they are very good, but not super great. Where you se

Work pays up to $1500 for a 3d printer, wait for the H2C?
H2C will likely ship before the U1, new U1 orders are not delivered until April now, at least for my country. U1s are being delivered now but only to the backlog of kickstarter backers. Bambu is a much safer bet as a company, but we will have to see if the H2C can compete with the SnapMaker (and ind

Another tool head down in almost the same week. I’m not sure why this is happening to me. Is Jayo really bad or am I doing something wrong?
I’ve had two jams in the month that I have owned my U1. First one was Elegoo Marble PLA got stuck inside nozzle, had to disassemble and use my torch and tweezers to get it out. Second one was with Snapmaker Yellow, the one that came with the printer. It got jammed up really bad in the extruder gears

WARNING: Snapmaker U1 will ruin all your prints that need tree supports by snapping them after tool change
I literally just googled "snapmaker u1 breaking tree supports" guess its not as prominent as you claim. Shocked I tell ya. Follow support instructions.

U1 mid print swap
Thanks for sharing — that’s really useful to know. We have three production U1 units, and all three consistently show a physical horizontal line at the exact pause/resume layer, even when we pause and resume without changing any filament.Could you tell us:Which firmware version you’re using? How long

So... what's the point of the Plus 5?
3rd party nozzles will be available for a long time still after Qidi stops selling them. Besides the hardened steel nozzles are very durable, I’m only on my second 0.4mm nozzle after hundreds of print hours. And the first didn’t even wear out, it cracked due to the design defects I’ve since fixed. I
