It seems like it's no different from the Crusher ANC 2 launch, because I remember mine having some distortion issues straight out of the box before updating the firmware. I think Skullcandy is changing up the way they do controls on their newer headphones. They seem to be using a joystick for most of the functions (Volume/playback control), and a separate button that powers them on, and allows for you to toggle the ANC/stay-aware modes on or off.
