What can we realistically expect from future crusher 1080 firmware updates?

Well if the sound timbre is described as "Tin-can like" then that's already not a good sign. The Crusher ANC 2 has a tin-can like timbre straight out of the box and needs EQ + a pad swap to sound decent. As for the bass, what I am most curious about is how accurate it sounds, not whether or not it h

Skullcandy - Crusher Evo vs Skullcandy - Crusher 720: My Verdict

Yeah some of these reviews leave me kinda frustrated to be honest, and yeah I do like my Crusher 540 Actives despite my pet peeves with them. I wouldn't consider them to be good sounding headphones, and I definitely wouldn't listen to them if I want good quality bass, but for a few tracks and the li

Skullcandy 1080 ANC - 1 week review

I've seen a mix of both positive and negative reviews, and the majority of the negative reviews come from people who only care about having the most bass possible, rather than the quality of the bass. And it doesn't help that they don't even go into detail about how the bass actually behaves other t

Crusher 720 is slightly better than 1080 anc. Also compared with anc 2

The Crusher ANC 2 and Crusher Evo are similar in terms of what bass frequencies they can respond to, but the Crusher ANC 2 has a slightly less harsh dropoff below 35hz than the Crusher Evo does, and when you use the Crusher Evo at lower bass levels, they have an aggressive cut at 110hz that makes th

EVO'S OR 1080 ANC SALE?

I wouldn't call the Crusher Evo neutral, even without the haptic bass engaged. They aren't as bassy as other Bluetooth headphones without the haptic bass engaged, but they are still very colored, and have very overemphasized treble with a peak at 10khz, and they have a recession in the upper-mids fr

Is there any way to remove the audible bass from Skullcandy crusher evo and only use haptic sensory vibration for bass.

I'd look at reviews on here, the plyr 720s aren't much different from the Evos. The open backed design if anything somehow makes them even more audibly bassy at a wider spectrum of bass frequencies, kinda the opposite of what you're looking for. All Crusher headphones use the same haptic driver desi

Is there any way to remove the audible bass from Skullcandy crusher evo and only use haptic sensory vibration for bass.

You should look at crusher plyr 720. Since it is open back designed it has more feel and doesn't overwhelm you with muddy acoustic bass. Either that or cut some holes into the back of your evo, though I can not promise it will sound good. Besides that it would require some advanced DSP algorithm to

Other than IP rating, ANC and battery life is there really any difference between these two?

Tbh in terms of the Skull HQ app, I'd mostly likely use it for its Crusher tuning feature. For fine-tuning the overall sound, I'd probably just use them in wired mode and run them through my external USB dac so I can use the PEQ it comes with rather than the Skull HQ app. From my experience, using a

Evo headset vs acn 2 headset

I personally prefer the 540 Active over the Evo for sound quality, since they're a bit less shrill and thin in the mids. Both the Crusher Evo and Crusher 540 Active have the exact same internal parts, it's really the earpads that make the difference. With the 540 Active, you sacrifice a little bit o

Does Skullcandy 1080 have the deep, subwoofer like bass?

Well here's the thing... the Crusher Evo's haptic bass mostly resonates around 35-55hz, and it rolls off below 35hz. What OP is curious about is how low the haptic bass can drop.
