Not really, Sennheiser is quite special and manufactures products without any quality control. MTW3 had a manufacturing defect and instead of fixing it they moved to MT4 as a replacement. The sound is definitely up there with the best in the market right now but as a trade off the ANC is lacking. Itll cut out airplane noises and slight traffic but don’t be surprised if it doesnt blow your mind. I also dont think spatial audio is available on the momentums. For comparison I got the WF

I stuck with Sennheiser for years and what you described happened to my MTW2, 3 and 4. I’ve moved on but what I would say if that’s just my personal experience.

I personally had the MTW2,3,4 and had the 3s and 4s die on me. I just got the Sony XM6s and they’ve been great so far. Sound it great but its a little less sparkly than the MTW4s but maybe its due to eq settings. ANC is leagues beyond sennheisers. If youre in canada its about 20% off right now.
