HD800S vs HDB630: Can wireless hang?
Tubes do help the HD 800 S, it becomes more "HD 650-like" by adding some warmth and taking the edge off in the treble. Though it's a much "Softer" presentation than the HD 650 below 4kHz, as shown below. Though, the maintenance needed to upkeep tube amps can be annoying if you're used to solidstate.

What headphone disappointed you at first...then grew on you?
From Sennheiser? Honestly, no headphone disappointed me at first but I came to like it after. In fact, with three of them it was the opposite. I liked them at first but came to dislike them later: Those were the Momentum 4, the HD 560S, and the HD 660S2. I immediately loved the HD 600, HD 650, HD 58

Recommendation Needed: Gift to Hubs
If its a closed back, get the Fiio FT1 for great Bass.Open back? Get the Sony Mdr Mv1, or Sennheiser hd550, Mv1 for more bass. The Hd660s2 will add warmth to music which he may not like. For a Dac Amp, I'd recommend a Fosi K7, or the Fiio K7. Edit: There's also the Sennheiser hd490 pro, which is very

Should I get HD490 PRO or HD660S2 after Audeze Maxwell
The 660S2 will be more different than the Maxwell. However, I recommend getting the cheaper(and in my opinion, better) HD 600 if you want the best Sennheiser headphone for music. It easily sounds the most "Natural" and "Real" and "Normal" yet still "Lush" out of any Sennheiser in my opinion, even th

Headphones primarily for music, 200-250 range?
Save some shekels and buy the Philips Fidelio X2HR instead. Its got a much wider soundstage than the Sennheiser HD660s2 and when it was released (the OG) it was deemed better than alot of 400€ headphones at the time.

HD 490 PRO or HD 660S2
I would. They are different in tuning for sure, so the experience is very different. But overall I would probably never use any of the Sennheisers if I had the XV. I have Arya Stealth which is even further from the Sennheisers tuning. Found it very hard to enjoy the closed in and muddied feeling of

Decision problems (HD490 vs HD660s2)
I’ll take almost anything over the 770, so … yeah, they’re both better than it. 😂 The 490 definitely has a better soundstage in terms of both width and separation within it; the 660s2 was a step up from the three blob people complain about with the rest of the 6X0s but it’s not as good as something
