New setup
Unfortunately, I decided to retire my LG V50 due to its cracked screen causing issues and bulging battery. I initially thought of buying another one; however, I realized that a player with bigger screen would be more beneficial to me since I also listen to live performances (particularly jazz) on Yo

new to quality headphones pls help
The 599 is old school 500 series Sennheiser. Very warm with lack of detail. It's good for low quality harsh recordings. The 560S is a massively more performant headphones with a close to reference sound and much more extended into the sub-bass, but it will sound painful on bad quality recordings

had these (560s) for 3 years (ignore the pet hair and skin particles please) is there a way to repair them?
Just get the replacement pads from Sennheiser website. They label them as the "analytical tuning" pads for 500 series. You can also pick up a pair of "warm tuning" pads which will make it sound a bit more like the 599 or old 558. If you use EQ I would actually recommend the warm pads as they have al

Best headphones
I use sennheiser hd599. Sound great with great bass and detail with around 120$ price point right now on amazon, so if you want good cheap semi-audiophile headphones this is a great choice

Looking to upgrade from the M50Xs and have been eyeing the HD599s yay or nay?
I’ve used both, and this is one of those upgrades that’s less about “better” and more about “different vibe.” Coming from the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x, the first thing you’ll notice with the Sennheiser HD 599 is how open everything feels. It’s not just marketing — sounds actually feel like they’re co

Sennheiser 560s vs 569 vs 599
Got myself a HD 599 today (it was missing in the collection) :) It's a very good headphone, actually, and it would be my personal pick out of the three headphones you mentioned here. Very lush, relaxed and smooth sound with a surprisingly good bass response as well. Listening as I type...

Speakers for Juno D6?
Physics restricts tiny driver speakers that would fit on the D6 from being great at bass production. And so since you want cheap ones, you might expect that there will be a little or no, or bad, mid-bass quality. If your budget were higher, and you had room for a little bit larger speaker, I would r

Me using EQ
Same. I love how my Sennheiser HD 599 can produce the soft double bass sound in jazz performances without me needing to turn the overall volume up.
