I have a scuf instinct pro, which is really helpful in most games I play, but I never used the extra buttons for this game. So I'd recommend just a regular Xbox or PlayStation controller, whichever one feels more comfortable.

Sounds like an internal short or bad solder joint inside the controller — explains why moving the stick triggers LT. Sadly the Elite Series 2 is kinda infamous for QC issues. SCUF Instinct Pro Gamesir G7 Pro Microsoft Elite Series 2 I tend to use the SCUF more than anything as I'm so used to it and the extra buttons help a lot. It's been solid for me for about 3 years. I love the G7 Pro. It's wired and I'm still getting used to it but highly recommend.
