Studio Display 2: The Latest Rumors About Apple's Next Monitor

Who all is selling 5K, 600-nit full-screen brightness monitors with excellent speakers, built-in webcam, Thunderbolt/USB-C hub with 96W PD, 100% sRGB coverage, and ~90% Adobe RGB coverage for significantly less than $1499? Build quality and warranty/service is also a concern here. There are other 5K

Best monitor for Graphic Design work to buy now?

Thanks! The issue with 4K 27-inch displays is that they’re not the right pixels per inch (PPI) density for macOS, which means you’d need to enable display scaling, which has performance and quality issues. Best all around 5K monitor for Mac?

I got a Samsung ViewFinity S9 at a discount. Display is just perfect, great pixel quality. The camera sucks and so does the power supply which is massive.

Is a 40 ppi difference noticeable?

The LG UltraFine 5K and Samsung ViewFinity S9 are both relative analogs to the MacBook Pro’s Liquid Retina XDR display (high ppi, P3 color, high brightness). There are many OLED monitors which offer superior blacks and faster response times, as well.

What professional monitor to buy?

The monitors I often hear about are Apple Studio Display and LG Ultrafine. I'm currently using the Samsung ViewFinity S9 5K and it's a pretty decent display (recently went down in price). Whichever monitor you end up with, you'll want to make sure it gets calibrated, either using an external device

Should I buy a Studio Display or wait?

I'm still very happy with my Studio Displays, and would still recommend them. I bought mine on sale last summer though for $1250 (brand new in box). The Apple Refurbished price is similar but they sell out pretty quickly when they come in stock there (I had been watching the refurbished store for mo

What's the best MAC monitor that you love the most? What are you using now?

Samsung 27" ViewFinity S9 5K IPS Smart Monitor - you’ll find people have a mixed view of them but I absolutely love them and the price point is better for me than a studio display.

Philips Brilliance 27E3U7903 27″ defective?

I’m done with any kind of monitor lottery after sending back a Samsung ViewFinity S9 (5K) twice. Seems like Apple is the safest option.
