I am enjoying the new setup a lot at night
Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SC), I'm actually going to be replacing it soon with the LG 45GX950A-B, it's a little too wide and takes up too much horizontal real estate IMO

Anyone have experience of using an Oled monitor in mixed business / pleasure scenario?
Avoid older OLED (generally called WOLED) tech for text. They use a pentile pixel layout which isn't supported by Windows or other operating systems so sub pixel rendering isn't supported and can lead to very jarring and difficult to read text. There are a few oleds you can get away with like a Sams

Anyone with InDesign experience with a curved monitor?
Use a ultrawide monitor, they have a lot of space for the UI. The "R-Value" is the key, often the manufacturer use a low value like R800 (good for gaming) but I don´t like it for Adobe work. At the office I use the Samsung C49RG94 (1800R), it is okay and the used price is good. Or you look for the S

Is 4k worth it over 2k for OLED??
I’d never go back to 2K……it’s just a blurry version of 4K….and if you go OLED. Be prepared to never go back to anything else as well. I’ve had 6-7 OLEDS by now. Only sold them to keep upgrading. Now I have two 65” LG C2 with plans to upgrade one to a G5….pc gaming and series x gaming on them is anot

HDR looks washed out on Samsung OLED G9 Ultrawide Monitor
I don't know what exact model you have, but I assume this is this one (as it is the only one OLED I can find on Samsung's website): https://www.samsung.com/fr/monitors/gaming/odyssey-oled-g9-g91sd-49-inch-144hz-curved-dual-qhd-ls49dg912suxen/ This screen has a very low peak brightness (250 cd/m2) an

Triple monitor to single - so much room for activities!
It's the Samsung G9 OLED. It's so big that I was even thinking of going smaller when I had the two other monitors on the desk. I also just added the shelf on the left there so I can put some smaller stuff out of the way that was previously out on the desk as well.

People who have both or have seen oled and high end mini led. Is there much difference?
I owned both oled and mini led (samsung g9 oled / samsung g9 neo 57) if you want mini led to be like oled on monitor, just reduce black equalizer to zero. you will be fucking happy!

Don't find OLEDs to be "Infinitely better" as people seem to insist
I have tried many FALD displays, there isn't just one. They're all annoying. IPS also has purple shifting and glow issues. There is no such thing as a perfect display. VA/QLED has better contrast but then has issues with black crush and grey uniformity. And IPS/VA/QLED also have text issues and othe
