Samsung watches are slower than other brands. I don't have a watch 9 but my 44m watch 7 used to take this long, and my new GWU2 takes several hours but that has a bigger battery. Make sure you are using charging puck that came with it and that the area isn't too warm

Unfortunately, I think your commentary is a good description of how poorly Samsung is trying to make their watch experience good. Can you imagine coming from the Galaxy Watch 4 to the Galaxy Watch 9, and the differences are barely noticeable? It's a disgrace.
