Yeah it is. I don't know about other brands but samsung low end devices are pretty crap. Even the Samsung s6 lite tab I have lagged straight out of the box and is not pleasant to use. They are both 4 GB ram versions, that could be a big factor.

In my experience with both, yes the handwriting experience is better with the samsung spen. Ipad for me feels better with aftermarket soft tips and paperlike screen protector, but again that adds expense. In my experience, best handwriting bang for the buck is definitely samsung. My middle kid is st
