Wireless Mechanical Keyboard under £60
The wired QMK/VIA versions of the RK61, RK R65, and RK R75 are good. I was unable to get the wireless RK R75 to connect to VIA and RK support was clearly confused so I returned it to Amazon rather than debug it further. I haven't tried the new RK R87. For the RK R61 the Redragon k717 is basically be

are royal kludge keyboards bad?
Compared to Corsair, probably not, but they have a pretty awful driver for their legacy boards and on some boards it's totally pants. So I wouldn't get the s98, since it's a legacy board. The good RK boards are: RK61 VIA (the new QMK/VIA version only) RK R65 VIA wired (ditto) RK R75 VIA wired (ditto

I only use plastic boards with Bluetooth for travel to reduce weight. I was very happy with my Photon but it was taking up a lot of space in the bag so I sold it to join the minimi40 gb. Back to the old RK R65 now while waiting for that to ship (don’t like it very much but it’s cheap and can take ab

looking to buy a good keyboard, but not sure which one to get.
None of those are "good". Royal Kludge has a few QMK boards that aren't running their awful old proprietary firmware. https://www.amazon.in/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R75-Mechanical/dp/B0CWGR5KM9 https://www.amazon.in/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-R65-Mechanical/dp/B0CNP1WGD1 I have their new QMK RK61 and I've tried out the

RK R65 Keyboard Firmware (VIA + Vial + SignalRGB)
This won't work with recent RK R65 keyboards (2025), it might brick your keyboard!

Advice on buying a new keyboard
Legacy Royal Kludge software is pretty awful. They don't have an updated QMK 96%, just the new RK61, RK R65, RK R76, and RK R87. If you're in Europe I would recommend the Sharkoon Skiler SKG50 S2 for a 96% ISO layout. It comes barebones or prebuilt with DE QWERTZ keycaps but you can get FR AZERTY ca

Should I go for these?
Instead of RK R65 get Weikav WK68 for around 3.8k (from URX)OR get AK820 for 4k from URXspend rest 1k and get Cyclone 2 (OPEN BOX) for around 3.6k, It's worth it. However if you play on kbm more than controller, get Aula F75 and a cheap controller Don't get PowerA controllers.
