I thought about this too but decided to go for the Gen2 now. You never want a product right at release (at least I don’t) because of all the bugs they still have to patch. I think the earliest I would be getting it would be in like 7 months; and RingConn has trade in options

My story is similar… I gave what’s left of my faulty ring and uhx to a smart ring curious coworker. I’m a week into switching to RingConn Gen2air. So far so good.

Gives a lot of useful info. I don’t think any of them are super accurate but just to be used as a base

My step count/calories burned is very elevated on my ring. Typically 5,000+ steps higher than my phone or watch track. The fitness tracking is a lot more accurate with Strava/fitness watches, but the flip side is that the sleep tracking seems more detailed with the smart rings. I also hate sleeping
