Absolutely this. I got Ring Floodlight cameras over my garage to keep an eye on my car/packages. But having the motion-sensor floodlight is neat when unloading groceries at night

The difference in day mode of all IP cameras is about 20 FPS (normally around 18 FPS) vs night mode which can drop to as low as 10 FPS (normally around 12 FPS). It’s certainly an (expensive) option but requires me to run Ethernet to these locations too. If they made a WiFi camera with an enhancer - i.e. a direct replacement for the Ring Floodlight cameras - I’d buy them in a heartbeat.

I have a ring doorbell and ring floodlight cameras. It works really well. The only downside is you have to pay an annual fee.
