TP-Link routers could be banned in the US over national security concerns

I don't think I've ever owned a router that was compatible with OpenWRT... Just my luck I guess. I do check the list but it's so long it's almost too much information when trying to buy a router that's compatible. But looks like it doesn't work with my MSI GRAXE66. Hard for me at least to find a Wif...

Do you suggest reflashing the bios?

Nah those calling home addresses were from TikTok domains. The Reyee router I use hasn’t done any yet besides the server addresses for remove cloud management.

Best wifi system to connect an out-building to my home network?

If possible use a cable to connect all the Mesh routers, meshing over WiFi is last resort. For your office If your Ethernet cable is a CAT5e or CAT6/e then your set for awhile. If your deadset in changing the Ethernet out you could use it to pull fiber optic out there, those this can be a little wei...

Poor performance for over 4 months. 500Mbps. Mediacom support did a maintenance check and utility work in my area post my request. Still no improvement. Using default Eero 6+ router. Heavy online gaming. Help me identify the miscreant.

Never use erro they’re worthless. I bought reyee router on Amazon per recommendation and it’s been fantastic. Also Mediacom is not helpful they don’t do anything usually lol

Would this work?

with wifi sometimes less is more... anyway make sure all your old routers are in AP mode, not router mode. The problem is that if you have various brands of APs they don't talk to each other. You could buy a cheap ruijie reyee router instead of the switch, it won't be much more expensive, and when y...

Help with a Separate Secondary Guest Network, or Ensure Guest Network as is

Easiest way is to get a older router or another one and just set it up like a new router. I have 4 routers on my network, One is an old DSL modem, the other a Netgear R6400 and a Reyee E5, and a passthrough router my ISP uses as a backup SSID (turned off radio) The Reyee is handling everything from ...

Good Router/Wired AP setup for ~$300?

My humble advice: router with POE LAN ports, separate POE wifi ceiling APs, very good control over everything, VLANS, multiple WAN, etc etc (Gigabit ports and Wifi 6 is enough for home and will be easier to fit your budget) You might be able to get a set from Ubiquity for slightly over your budget, ...

Camera in place of PIR sensor

Shot bro. I have a PIR sensor very much like that one. My batteries just didn't last. I was hoping to just plug it in, setup and leave it forever. Seems I must forget Xiaomi. I read up a bit, now sure I can connect it to Google Home, but that kinda means moving all my other devices across. I have a ...
