Best wireless outdoor cameras without subscriptions
The reolink Altas Pt Ultra is the only camera in the market, that I'm aware of, that is battery powered and that can record 24/7 to some degree. Any other wireless camera can't record 24/7, they just record motion/detection events. IMO, for a battery powered camera there is no better solution than t

Looking for advice for HOA security camera
I strongly, strongly recommend against relying on solar/battery and WiFi for security cameras. Even most battery cameras are going to fall short of either security or "insurance" needs. Could you please give me some suggestions for systems that meet or at least come close to meeting our needs? If yo

Motion sensor light with wifi camera/sd card
RLC-810WA or Reolink Duo Floodlight Wi-Fi if you have poor lighting at night/it is pitch black. If you have good lighting at night then CX410W or Reolink Altas PT Ultra, this last if you want the battery backup.

Looking for outdoor battery powered WiFi IP camera with browser access (no cloud or storage)
Maintaining a constant wifi connection requires a lot of power and thus if such a camera existed it would need to have a large battery. If you are willing to have a local hub you might want to look at a Reolink Home Hub (NVR) paired with one of their supported battery-powered camera, something like

Reolink Altas Ultra PT
Tell us how you really feel... The Reolink Altas Ultra PT sounds like a beta that was released to the public as if it were a production unit. I thought only Eufy Security did that.

Reolink Altas Ultra PT
For anyone reading this in 2026 I've had my Altas PT Ultra for just over a year and even with the latest firmware, I'm still constantly having weird charging issues. After MUCH back and forth with Reolink, I was finally given an RMA # to return. However, it started charging again after so I decided

Help Starting A Basic Reolink Security System
I have my PoE cameras (front porch and above garage) and NVR in the garage connected to a mesh router point (ASUS Zen Wifi AX). I have one ASUS main router BE-98Pro, and 2 additional mesh access points (including the one in the garage). I also have a PoE switch out there. It works pretty well. Since

Eufy silently forces “Simple Mode” on advanced users — removes features with no escape
Not OP but i've been really happy with Reolink. I have some eufy 2C cams connected to a HomeBase 2 then a Reolink doorbell. Want to eventually swap them all to Reolink Home Hub + Altas PT Ultra. I like that Reolink has an open API even on their battery cameras.

An experiment…external battery and 12w solar panel
I've been using a Reolink battery cam with continuous recording for a while, paired with a 6W solar panel. It stays at 100% battery every day, though it's summer at my location right now. If it struggles to keep up in winter, I'll upgrade to a 12W panel (even though it feels a bit big for me). https
