Dead keys. (Searching for a workaround)

Probably offtopic, but since Redragon Kumara is a mechanical keyboard, you may find some switches and change them by yourself easily (https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Redragon+Kumara+K552+Key+Switch+Replacement/148374). So that you won't need to rebind your keys and try to get used with the new binding.

I can't remove switches from my keyboard, even when it is hot-swap..

If it's older stock it may have those awful round sockets and been sitting in a non-airconditioned warehouse in southern China for years before shipping out. The sockets and switches gently corrode until they are one with each other. I pulled a switch in half getting it out of a socket like that. I

Redragon Kumara in 2025?

you could check out the Keychron K1 or the Redragon K552. Both are usually in that price range and have decent build quality. Just keep in mind that you might have to compromise a bit on features for that budget

Is new K552 is not hot swappable?

Edit: every time i say stem, it's the metal pins. It is hotswappable, but the socket is not cherrymx style, it's outemu which uses thinner stems. If you wanna install cherry style switches you need to trim the stems or desolder the sockets. Instead of having proper sockets it just has some really so

Thocky/Creamy keyboards

getting into the hobby is fun but can get pricey quick. for under $100 you could grab a Redragon K552 and swap the switches later - it's hot-swappable. if you want thocky out of the box the Tecware Phantom 87 with outemu silent switches is pretty creamy. buying separate switches and keycaps is doabl

My Ziyoulang K68 doesn't work properly with my other switches

i ran into this exact thing with a cheaper hotswap board - turns out some only fit 3-pin switches and the kang whites might be 5-pin. the extra plastic pins can stop them seating right or bend causing double presses. you could trim the extra legs off the switches you want to use (carefully with nail

Recomendaciones de teclado

Compra el redragon kumara k552, precio/calidad es muy bueno. Yo tengo ese y le he dado bastante uso, y si se hecha a perder una tecla se la saco y le pongo otro switch.

Keyboard recommendations

i was in that same hole last year - every review says something breaks. at $70 for tac fps, look at Redragon K552 Kumara (hot-swap version) or Tecware Phantom 87. both have outemu sockets so you can replace switches if one dies. software is basic but works. avoid no-name 60% boards with rgb spam. al
