Why so much Razer hate?
For sure. Although it does seem like RAZER has more issues than others. I bought my RB14 Mercury 2025 with a warranty from Best Buy to be safe.

Help deciding between G14 and Blade 14
anything but razer, support is terrible, turn around times for getting your repaired laptop back varies from a couple of weeks to months. That's if you can even get razer to agree to repair it in the first place. This is a review of the Blade 14 from Jarod, he's pretty much spot on with most reviews
