Just to add to your suggestion, take the RAPOO MT760L. The RAPOO MT760M is much smaller and doesn't fit most hands resulting in a weird claw grip kind of situation.

I tried the Rapoo MT760 which is a basic copy but the scrollwheel had issues on both of mine, not registering a lot. Other than that it had 1k polling and 40g lighter so it was quite nice. I use the Keychron M6 currently and used the MX master 3S for years. I like M6 but yes it does feel a bit cheap
