Best Espresso Machine? That Actually Last a Long time?
I'm thinking of buying a Rancilio Silvia V6, heard it's built like a tank, and definitely looks that way. Supposed to be fairly easy to repair also, with spare parts available.

It's finally here!
That's exactly why I bought it. I put it in my coffee station next to a Rancilio Silvia V6 E, and I think they'll last a lifetime.

New 5% further off with a code for new shoppers. Oysters, Ribeye and Cheesecake because why not?!
Rancilio Silvia M v6, which I retrofitted myself with a PID kit. I previously had a V3 that lasted about 10-11 years until the heating element on the boiler died (it was the version where the heating element is cast into the boiler, not replaceable). It has fewer features than the Classika but even

Whats your personal BIFL Espresso Machine?
Looks like they're about £590 ish now for the V6 (which is what I have). I found the receipt and paid £536 in 2021. 1.1K (presumably USD) seems a bit high, maybe have a look at Italian retailers who ship internationally. I own both a Gaggimate Pro Gaggia Classic and a Lelit Bianca – here's what surprised me
I deliberately chose the Rancilio Silvia v6 which came pre modded by a UK distributor to try to get the best of both worlds. It's a beast of a machine with all the intelligence and ease of Gaggimate Pro. I don't think I could have picked a better machine for me at that price point.

2 weeks of the Apartamento TCA and living my coffee dream!
I went from Rancilio Silvia V6 to Rocket Cinquantoto, just brilliant. No temperature surfing, great steam power, quieter, greater consistency, better extraction. A better user experience, better espresso. Living my best espresso life.

DeLonghi died, need new machine. [$600]
At that budget, you should look for a well-maintained Rancilio Silvia V6 (year 2020 and beyond) or a new Gaggia Classic Pro.
