Which one should i go for (first printer) and which brand is actually more trustworthy?
How technology savvy are you? The Bambu ecosystem is fairly fool-proof, but the P1S and P2S have some compromises that others do not. If you’re at somewhat technically capable and willing, I’d consider something else. I wouldn’t consider Flashforge due to privacy concerns, which you can read about o

I've got 3D printer money right now.!
I own a Prusa (Core One L) and am quite happy with it. Someone will be around shortly to recommend a Bambulab A1. Note that once you step into multi-color or multi-material, single toolhead/nozzle printers waste a LOT of filament, often more than what's used for the printed object(s) in color change

Start Here! - Monthly FAQ thread - May 2026
Hi, I'm on the lookout for my first printer and after extensive research I narrowed down my options to just a couple of models; I decided to go with an FDM printer with an enclosed CoreXY frame as I live in a high humidity area. I have some experience with 3D printers but I'm still a beginner and I'

Cheapest 3d printer that can...
Elegoo CC will probably do it ok, nozzles you will need to swap out with a hardened steel one, the bimetallic ones with the insert start having problems around 300C. The insert will come loose over time and fall out. That said, if you really want to print engineering grade materials, the QIDI Q2 is

Looking for a printer for the family probably a Bambu unless there are better options I dont know about
I’ve had several brands of printers over the last 10 years. I’m currently running Creality, Bambu, and Qidi. It sounds like you are leaning toward Bambu. If you do go that direction, I’d advise the P1S over the A1 because the CoreXY technology allows for more precision, especially on taller prints.

Im moving on but not going the Bambu cult
Qidi Q2 Combo is 999, Bambu Labs with AMS Combo is 1249 The price saving reaally isnt as big as people make out. I never even KNEW Bambu labs was considered like 'Apple' of the 3d printing world, I just saw my mates so I got one. After owning an UP! a Flash Forge, a Creality an Anycubic I can say wi

Before I buy... Am I overestimating the P1S's capabilities? Printing inline skate parts.
Yowzer, thanks for the feedback guys. I'm not hearing much support for being able to print PA (which Bambu lists the P1S as being 'capable' of doing) or even ABS/ASA (which it says are 'ideal') without some additional 3rd party upgrades, let alone the GF/CF variants. I was under the impression that
