NOTICE: AO3 has been banned in the UAE. Here is what to do.

You shouldn’t use some free IP Changer(VPN), they are notorious for stealing data, being unsafe and malware infested, so you should always use a reputable service like Proton VPN which does offer a free plan. Edit: Google literally warned against such services this week: Tomsguide

I just found out Netflix is removing one of my favorite shows which has 2 seasons that are inaccessible anywhere else, so now I am writing a letter to Dreamworks corporate (Image semi relevant)

Honestly I doubt DreamWorks would respond unfortunately, unless there is a lot of people complaining about the same thing. I suppose it's worth a shot though If you ever consider "legally" downloading them, read ahead. You'll wanna find a site that lets you search torrents, and gives you either the

Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 VPN Removed from App Stores | Internet Freedom Foundation

Trusted and top VPNs providers mainly Mullvad, IVPN, and ProtonVPN all have open-source clients hence they are available easily on F-Droid and on their websites/Github.

What is a good VPN to use here in Japan?

ProtonVPN is not the cheapest for paid, but they are the ONLY (and I mean ONLY) "Free VPN" that is not a shady Chinese/Russian company trying to infect you with malware. ProtonVPN is the ONLY exception to the "Never use a free VPN" rule. https://protonvpn.com/free-vpn Try it out on the free tier and

Got hacked - lost 370 divines overnight

Just wanted to clarify, you might have been saying the IP they used was Canada based but it kind of made it sound like proton VPN themselves were. if proton themselves were Canadian/out of canada then they would be part of "the eyes" and there would be logs/logs would be attainable from other jurisd

Vpn

ProtonVPN and Windscribe are the only free VPNs you should be using. Yeah they have limits, but both have been proven to not log any data, and have open source apps. There are other free options that are "unlimited", but they WILL log and sell your data.

What is a good VPN to use here in Japan?

Another vote for Proton. I’m on their paid plan as I use it on multiple devices and I like supporting them as a privacy first Swiss company. It also includes private storage and other apps. There’s also a Proton VPN app on my TV that works well. Speeds are decent and mostly reliable. They push frequ

A request to modders, please use an alternative image host other than Imgur; this is how a Rimwim mod page looks to UKians.

Proton VPN can be used for free, and Proton is pretty reputable in general

Switching from ProtonVPN to Windscribe: Some of My Experiences

I didn't read the whole thing but I'm going to say that I have a Proton Unlimited subscription that includes ProtonVPN, and I still paid $29/year for Windscribe and use it as my main VPN. Proton VPN is ok and it mostly works, but I feel Proton spread their limited resources too thin across too many
