**VIDEO GUIDE **WireGuard on Unraid. The Best Method for Routing Containers through a VPN for max privacy

This is a very slick solution, however it does have one sticking point, no incoming port assignment, especially for VPN providers that generate dynamic ports (PIA), that's going to be a problem for Soulseek and especially bittorrent. u/spaceinvaderone with your docker image, is there any chance you

I think I need a new VPN provider.

PIA support port forwarding but it's a real pain to set it up... I ended up with proton vpn, it was more easier to get the Conf file cause they provided an online tool for that... Also Found a step by step guide on another sub, let me know if you're interested, i'll post the link for you

Is it possible to host a LAN game over PIA?

PIA is not that sort of VPN - it doesn't route between clients, only offering access to the greater internet. Hypothetically you could port-forward and use your endpoint's public IP, but that'd just be a workaround vs using a VPN that's designed to route between clients directly.

Is Private VPN a good option for port forwarding?

The port only changes on Proton when it reconnects so you shouldn't need to do it every day. If you need to have some traffic outside of the VPN you can use split tunneling. On Windows Proton has a Github script called Quantum that will automate the port change for you. AirVPN is comparable to Proto

Port changes almost daily. Is this normal?

I know I'm late to the party, but now the port doesn't change for weeks at a time, so now it just changes and you can't understand why stuff is broken until you realise the port has changed. It's the opposite problem. If it could at least give a notification when the port changes, that'd be nice. Be

Is it possible to host a LAN game over PIA?

I don't understand... You have the same dedicated IP address, so you're on the same LAN? Then, you don't need to go through the Internet, and no need for a VPN. If you are on 2 different LANs, you could use PIA with port forwarding on one client, and connect to that computer remotely using its IP ad

Is Private Internet Access worth getting, and how does it compare to the usual commercial VPNs?

Split tunnel for firefox and forks leaks my dns server on win11 but didn't on win10. Support acknowledged the issue but haven't fixed yet since summer I raised the ticket. Also could not help me with an issue on debian that qbt didn't connect to pia's wireguard interface automatically after system r

PIA for qbittorent good?

PIA is owned by Kape Technologies, that puts a number of people off. I suggest that you do your own research and decide if it matters to you. AirVPN and Proton are alternatives that support port forwarding and work well with qBittorrent.

MaM Appreciation Post

This is why I swaped to AirVPN from PIA. You can pick a single vpn server so that your IP never changes, and you can claim ports for forwarding so that that never changes. Huge upgrade compared to PIA when it comes to MaM. No need for mousehole with this setup. Just need to call the dynamic seedbox

qBit stalling/erroring in Docker on Unraid while using Wireguard - Please help!

I am having the same problem and it's been killing me for weeks now. From what I've read it seems that an instant erroring is typically related to directories not aligning or permissions not being correct. Though I've double checked both of those things and qbit is able to touch my storage LXC just
