Best Adjustable Dumbbells Set?
They DO all have tradeoffs - you just have to figure out what tradeoffs you're willing to make and what aligns with your personal preferences. I have a preference for the powerblock Pro 100s, but they're expensive, bulky, and have that cage design which are all real downsides and I don't often recom

Adjustable Dumbbells - Yay or Nay?
I think the greatest pro for adjustable dumbbells is how much space they can save. Even a dumbbell set that only goes to 50 lbs would take up a sizeable chunk of a home gym. I think 50 pounds is a good max weight if you're not aiming for strength gains in particular, but for me, I'd want something t

Adults should aim to do between 560-610 minutes/week of moderate to vigorous physical activity to achieve a substantial reduction in the risk of heart attacks and stroke (3-4 times higher than the current public health recommendation of 150 minutes ), suggest the findings of an observational study
As an apartment-dweller who hates actual gyms: You can get pretty far on strength training with just that + a folding bench. Picking up a set of Powerblocks right before the pandemic was one of the best choices I've made in my life.

Adjustable Bench & Adjustable Dumbbell advice
50 lbs is an achievable mark for good DB’s. I got powerblocks and love em. Is that just where you want to start or is that where you think your strength cap is?!Couple of criteria’s to look at.-Drop-ability/ durability- size/ structure- adjustability/speed of change.- priceThe ones I considered most

Adjustable Dumbbells that are worth the price
My wife had Bowflex, I had Powerblock. When we consolidated stuff, the Powerblocks were easily the right choice. The Bowflex didn't have as much weight, the Bowflex model that did have as much weight was far far larger so chest presses were range limited, and occasionally the gearing on the Bowflex

PowerBlock Pro 100 Straight Bar and Kettlebell, worth it ?
I’ve played around with PowerBlock setups and the dumbbells themselves are great… the attachments are where it gets a bit “it depends” the straight bar works, but don’t expect it to feel like a normal barbell. it’s a bit clunky, balance is a little weird, and adjusting weight isn’t as quick as just

Muscle wasting and bone density loss
I say go for it. It really doesn’t take much to get started lifting and you can do it relatively cheap if you search the secondhand market for gear. One pair of adjustable dumbells is sufficient for my daily home weight training needs. At first I considered getting a full set but I don’t have dedica

Adjustable dumbbells or rack?
I have two sets of Powerblocks. One that is 5-50 with 5 lb quick adjustments, and a 10-90 with 10 lb adjusts. I find this works well for me when I need mediums and heavies, as well as when the instructor might use the same dumbbells for different exercises but I’m able to easily and quickly tweak it

I’m in the exact same boat! I’ve been training neutral grip with my PowerBlocks and it’s a great alternative movement. It’s just that once I get over 70 lbs, getting the dumbbells up into position sucks. So I know I don’t need a MGPB or VHS. But man do they look cool.

Its all about what you need. A set of like powerblocks to start are pretty basic, easy to store, and can get you started.
