The Polar Pacer Pro does everything you want and does it very well—the only thing it lacks is a direct connection with Runalyze. IMHO, there's no real need for it, because Polar's own platform, Polar Flow, surpasses both by a wide margin.

No running watch is perfect, and it matters what is most important to you and what conditions you use it in. I used to have the M430 for ages and more recently got the Pacer Pro, which has in the meanwhile aged a bit but I am quite happy with it for what I am doing (running mostly). I cannot comment

I have the M3, recently upgraded from a Pacer Pro. I mostly use it for running and swimming. re bouldering: I'm not wearing the M3 when bouldering (I go once per week) to not accidentally scratch it on a hold. I managed to scratch the Pacer Pro within 10 minutes of bouldering. Very annoying feeling
