No idea if I'm representative but this is my story... in 2020 COVID lockdowns led to me taking up cycling I live in a hilly place, there is lots of data to track I wanted a watch that was not massive, reasonably priced, and would track rides without needing a bike computer it came down to Polar and

I wouldn't consider that bragging about Garmin support or products. I'd consider that bragging about a user who consistently pushed support for several days and finally got them to agree to replace it. Good on the user, not so good on the vendor support. This is easy to pick and choose faults to bas

Polar have some really outdated product lines. The fitness series of Unite and Ignite and the Pacer series are getting extremely long in their tooths. They might be cheap to produce but keeping multiple platforms of hardware and software is not efficient. I would guess that we will see some changes t

That's great to hear! I hat a Fitbit versa, which i actually loved. But they changed the app and a lo of functionality got lost. After it was bought by Google it went further down the drain. I was actually looking at an Ignite 3 myself, so I think this thread further convinced me to go for Polar. Th

The Ignite 3 is quite old at this point, over three years. I'd look into a third party seller that might be selling it discounted or wait for an Ignite 4. I'd probably get the Vantage M3. Its a bit of a mid-sized watch, fairly affordable, and has all of Polar's latest features.

Late to the game here. What did you buy? Brand new to the world of fitness watches. I'm miserly, yet particular. Polar was the only option that cut the mustard. I thought garmin was pretty impressive in online summaries. As someone who doesn't care too much about accessory aesthetics, I wouldn't tou

If you have thinner wrists or if you like a slimmer watch, the Ignite 3 is the best Polar can offer. But if your style and character lean towards a more built body the Vantage M3 is not a bad choise either.

We had Fitbit about 10 years ago. At the time my wife wanted a step tracker. They were fine for that. When we tried using them for workouts (various cardo) the heart rate was off and the watch wasn't keeping up. I had an old Polar FT4 with chest strap that worked better. That's when I suggested we m

I use a Polar Ignite 3. Pretty good. HR monitoring accuracy beats Garmin and others. But you still do need the phone as Polar doesn’t have a Spotify app. Think there are Garmin models that have that.

I started with Polar M400, then Polar M430 (which is now with my father in law) and now Polar Pacer Pro and my wife has the Polar Ignite 2... After starting my running path with polar, because of a friend I decided to stay. It works for me. I don't like apple or samsung devices. Maybe some day I wil
