Exactly! We got our watches for tracking fitness only. We don't use the "smart" features that let you control music, make phone calls, etc.. A basic fitness watch would work for many people. We used the Unite for a few years and liked it. As they started to slow down and not charge so great I looked

Late to the game here. What did you buy? Brand new to the world of fitness watches. I'm miserly, yet particular. Polar was the only option that cut the mustard. I thought garmin was pretty impressive in online summaries. As someone who doesn't care too much about accessory aesthetics, I wouldn't tou

Do you need to be able to connect a cycling power meter to your Polar watch? The Vantage V3, M3 and Grit X2 (Pro and regular models) , and Pacer series can do this. The Ignite series cannot. Note that not all power meters are compatible. https://support.polar.com/ca-en/which-third-party-sensors-are-

Exactly my user case too! For all things sports related, I just swap on my Polar Ignite 3 instead of the Loop.

I have my 3rd polar Watch (ignite/pacer pro/x2). Works fine by me. I need a Watch that focussen on data for my (trail)running and with focus and without distraction. Just about right for me. No unnecessesary shit, just the basics done right. And the new grit x2 is a very nice Watch and covers all of

Get a polar H10, you need the best heart rate measurement to have any kind of predictive insights on recovery. Then any cheap watch from polar can get you good insights on polar flow, I'm not sure if the h10 alone is enough for that or not... A polar ignite 3 is enough for your use case and also has

I use the Ignite 3 since 2 years and it is getting better with each firmware upgrade. 24/7HR plus 1 exercise session (without GPS) per day gets me 7-8 days battery life (up from 4-5 at the beginning). I love the detailed sleep report. Have added the Polar verity sense for biking, excellent pair. Hig

We had Fitbit about 10 years ago. At the time my wife wanted a step tracker. They were fine for that. When we tried using them for workouts (various cardo) the heart rate was off and the watch wasn't keeping up. I had an old Polar FT4 with chest strap that worked better. That's when I suggested we m

You're giving me so much confirming information! I actually only do cardio and weights atm. I've been wanting to pick up climbing for a while, so I'm glad to hear it's great for that too. And also want the titanium one, but I'm allergic to nickel and read that some people got a rash from it. My fitb
