Help me choose my first Sportwatch

Two weeks ago, I bought Polar Grit X2 Copper. I upgraded from V800, which I bought used in January. In the last year, I bought H10 (HRM) and Stride Sensor. I considered different brands: Polar, Garmin, Coros, Amazfit, and Suunto. I researched information about their watches, read their subs, and tri

Why did you choose Polar? Looking for arguments to stay in the ecosystem before upgrading

A few days ago, I bought Polar Grit X2 Copper during a vacation in Italy for a great price (427 EUR) and also bought Vantage V3 Blue for my friend (382 EUR). My friend, before that, considered buying a Garmin Instinct or Forerunner, but who wants to pay 500 EUR more for just a few small advantages,

My Suunto Ambit 3 has reachd EOL. And now?

Just switched from Suunto A3P to Polar Grit X2 Pro, also considered M3 but wanted the bigger screen as M3 seemed too small for me. And since Suunto sold their MoveSense business they no longer make HR chest straps, so would seem odd to buy Polar strap but Suunto watch for running. Also like idea of

Grit X2 or Fenix 8?

I am the opposite case. I had few Garmin’s over 2 years and used the H10 with Polar Beat. I made a switch and got a Polar Grit X2 and i am very happy with the decision. I prefer the simplicity of the Polar ecosystem rather than the every metric under the sun with Garmin.

Polar Grit X2 Pro notifications from iPhone

it’s fine. when it comes to iOS and 3rd party notifications, you have to prepare yourself for a less than perfect experience. I’ve had zero issue with calls coming through, it seems to be the one thing apple gives 3rd party developers unregulated access to. Other notifications may lag from time to t

SHOULD I BUY A POLAR LOOP?

Maybe the opinion of a Whoop User for 2 years helps: I‘m coming from a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro and an Whoop 5.0 after two years my subscripton ends in July. Now I also own a used Polar Grit X2 since friday and a Polar Loop for 3 weeks. So far I don’t miss my Whoop because I don’t align my habits to the f

Sports watch and kettlebells

I used to have a cheap garmin that was a thing band. I turned it watchface in and it was fine. But I didn't like it, so I got a chest strap (better heart rate tracking for lifting anyway). I got an H10 new on box on ebay. Actually I bought 2 because I wanted one at home and one at work. Worked great

Which sport tech ecosystem should I start with?

I own a polar grit x watch and chest strap hr monitor. The watch is good for swimming, hiking, cycling, running and weightlifting tracking. I have a hammerhead karoo 1 bike computer and moofit rpm and speed sensors. No issues with the watch and hr strap or pairing them to my bike computer. The rpm a
