Verse Lite is just a worse Verse, just forget about it (smaller battery, no buttons, no SD card slot, no warm colour temperature, also not waterproof - as the standard Verse isn't). Portablility: all devices in discussion are 6" devices, there's no difference in portability (Kobo Clara BW is slightl

If you want simple, black-and-white, with front light and with buttons, then in the Western world outside the US, really your only options to buy new and have a semi-respectable brand are the various PocketBooks (Verse & Verse Pro are 6ââ, Inkpad 4 is 8ââ and all those have buttons on the bottom alt

When it comes to ereaders, âgoodâ is somewhat subjective, depending on oneâs personal needs / wishes. If you donât have any existing purchased ebooks already, and if you have no particular needs beyond âreading text-based booksâ, Iâd probably recommend a Kobo Clara BW or PocketBook Verse / Verse Pro

Your options, in brief, are: Android readers - they can use the Kindle app so your Kindle books will be easy to get to. However, Iâm not at all sure an Android reader will give you ~12 hours of reading time with the frontlight on, especially if thereâs cold weather. Boox Go 7 is great, and has butto

With these specifications, Iâd say PocketBook Verse Pro or Kobo Clara. The PocketBook has buttons for page turning (which can be really comfortable); the Clara doesnât but has a newer screen. If you just read text-based books (stories, novels, text-based non-fiction), then 212 PPI should be quite ok

You say you want easy, good b/w screen with front & backlight, and ability to sync across devices. You say you don't want complicated work- arounds, and you want easy library access A 6" easy to handle e-reader that's light and has tons of features (if you want them), and very important, a well buil

Your request matches up perfectly with Pocketbook Verse or Verse Pro. Both are 6", and have Home/Page up/down/Power buttons. You can remap the buttons, too. PB says we give you the device, and you do what you want with it! Very open. Never have to jailbreak a Pbook. Comparison link

If your PW is 11 years old, I don't think it can have a 7" screen? The first few gen's of PW had 6". The first PW to have a larger screen was the 2021, and that was 6.8". It is only the newest PW (2024 model) that has a 7" screen. So for the rest of this comment, I'm guessing you actually do have a

I switched from a kindle to a Pocketbook. Mostly, it had to do with customization and buttons. I wanted a six inch eReader with buttons. I loved that I could set it to tap on either side of the screen and go forward in my book. I liked that there were a variety of options for getting books onto the

Since youâre not in the US, then Kindle devices are out because you wonât be able to borrow books from Libby and load it on a Kindle. I personally prefer non-Android e-readers, so Iâd narrow it to either Kobo or PocketBook which, to me, are both great devices. I own an e-reader from PocketBook, and
