Direction of the Fujifilm as a company / system

Considering there will always be more hobbyists than pros, I don’t think that’s really the issue. The camera companies can’t exist without them and the sales numbers will always skew more towards hobbyists than pros solely because of the sheer number of camera consumers as a whole vs working profess

The Lumix S9 with the 18-40 is one of the most underrated combos ever.

Matt from Lumix recently stated the camera has far exceeded their expectations in terms of sales. It’s a really popular item for them. I got one myself recently, mainly to use as a EDC for video and to be able to take the occasional higher quality picture. Background: I started my Lumix journey with

The ZR booted up like, ‘bro, what is this?’

Great shots! Praying to the photography gods Nikon realizes if they put out a photo-centric in this body format, it could be a potential hit. It would compete with the likes of the Sony A7C series, Lumix S9, probably even Fuji offerings. Stick one of the more compact primes on it - and you have a gr

Panasonic has registered two new cameras in China!

I've got a few hopes: S1HII with a fully stacked sensor. My real hope is that they'd use the same sensor from the Z8/9 or even the A1/A1ii, but that's incredibly unlikely. I really want to see what the Lumix engineering team could do with the "highest end" hardware that other brands use. S9 style bo

S9 vs S5ii as my first camera

From all my years of using cameras, S9 would be a wise choice. Why? Cameras need to be as compact as possible so you can always have it in your bag and shoot whenever you wanna capture something. Pair it with either a prime M lense (35mm or 50mm) (if you prefer pristine image quality) or an Lumix 18

Settled on Buying S5IIX, but Lost on Lenses for Content Creation

For the cheapest “you’re set” combo, I say get the Lumix 20-60mm, the Lumix 85mm 1.8, and the Pergear 35mm 1.4 manual. Three total lenses with three different and useful functions for less than the price of one Sigma or Lumix large-range zoom, and they’re all very lightweight. But I have a different

What L-mount needs desperately…

Hell, it would be kinda cool if there was a lens with a leaf shutter inside to mitigate the e-shutter on the s9. Maybe a 28 f2 lens or 35 f2 with leaf shutter by lumix, and a software update that would let you turn on/off the leaf. It's a tall order, i know, but it would be a way for them to keep us

Panasonic Lumix S1H II – mock-up of a possible FX3 / C50 killer

I feel like once you start getting into the realm of those specs + raw video, 4k240, 32bit float, XLR - you've somewhat left the need for having a compact handheld form factor because 90% of the time it's going to be rigged up, on set, with a team. At that point you might as well be using a box-styl

Should I consider buying a camera?

If you decide to buy a camera, I would go for some which would be easy to carry around, so you wouldn’t be annoyed by carrying the extra weight. Fo example I love my lumix s5 and nikon d7000 but I think twice whether I am willing to carry it around whole day with me while traveling. A good budget an

S9 Purchased

Got this in a few days ago after using an S5II for a year now. I got it to replace my B-cam, which is a S5. I've gotten addicted to using LUTs and the Lumix Lab app so the S5 wasn't quite cutting it in terms of ease of use as I had to use the old Sync app to bring stuff over and manually apply LUTs.
