Hi mate I’m a tv camera op working in documentaries, If they’ve got decent budget the fx3 is probably what they are using but honestly that would be absolutely overkill for what you are intending to do. Get a cheaper Sony A7S or even an old Panasonic lumix GH5s which would be perfectly fine for just

I’m a low budget filmmaker, made my first two shorts on the LUMIX GH5S, recently upgraded to the GH7 with the Leica 10-25 1.7, absolute sledgehammer of a combo that has mostly killed my GAS

Yeah I came from canon before the GH4 and have stayed with Lumix since the GH4 (GH5s and now S1ii). Always with adapted EF lenses! My experience with the S1ii has been great professionaly (video's for clients) aswell as personally (photo's). The new firmware that dropped recently improved the AF and

This was with two DSLRs: a Lumix GH5s on me (with Nikkor 28mm 2.8 AI-S MF lens) and a Lumix FZ300 on her (with the lens it has already). Smartphones are great for taking video in a pinch, but I wouldn't use them for shooting a special proper (unless that was part of the hook/conceit). For budget DSL

GH5s. No stabe if that's important. The GH6 is a beast of a camera. The major thing people complain about is the autofocus not being PDAF. But, compared to the GH5... it's amazing. People love the colors. There's also a streaking issue that every video I've ever seen the people admit they don't see

i guess anything that is video focused and sold around the same price as an FX3 could be called FX3 competitor ? That's where the comparison ends. Lumix is not doing 4k cameras anymore. If that's what you're into you can buy cheap second hand GH5S ,they're great cameras :D

I hired an S5ii, GH5s, FX6, FX3, and Nikon Z6ii for work before, and I found that the video performance and features are punching above their price range. We shoot at 25p and sometimes 50p for TV. The aspect ratio is 16:9 (2:1 for short film and personal use) I did some extensive research, and I thi

Copy of resolve is a good point and a big saving if the op is gonna edit on resolve. If I had 2000 and needed to buy one camera and one lens, I'd probably look for used gh-series lumix camera (preferably gh5s, gh5m2 or gh6) and some fast zoom lens to have some versatility and to combat low light dis
