Oura Ring 4 vs RingConn Gen 2 — is RingConn still good after 1 year?

Both my Oura Gen 4 and RingConn Gen 2 died at 6 months and were replaced under warranty. The only reason that Oura Gen 4s shorter than normal (16-20months) doesn't have as much visibility is because of more aggressive moderation of issues across social media platforms. With that, I think you have th

[Blogpost] How I Use My Index 01 + Production Update

It seems to me that creating a rechargeable Index ring is way more feasible than creating one that where the battery can be replaced. You’d likely destroy it trying to change the battery. Having compared the Index sizing kit ring against my Oura Gen 4 ring, the Index is only a tiny bit smaller (a li

ICU resident + 12 years in supplements. Post your stack, I'll give you the real breakdown.

Short stack, specific goal, real data from the Oura; this is the easiest one to audit. Let's actually fix the deep sleep problem because what you have isn't the issue because what you have is fine but won't move deep sleep.. - Magnesium glycinate 480mg. assuming that's elemental (Nature's Bounty's i

Horrific Customer Service

You placed your order last month? This will sound harsh but nearly all of the reviews since it was launched on kickstarter sometime in early/mid 2025 have been negative or "meh". Certainly there are a few people who like it or have little to no problems whatsoever. Did you not read any reviews? Sinc

Megathread: Wearables, Symptom Trackers, Apps📱

I have been wearing/using Oura ring(s) for 6 years, and it’s one of the only wearables that I consistently wear every day, all day. More below, but I think it’s important to note that I started wearing this BEFORE I “had” (both in terms symptom severity AND diagnoses) some of the conditions I deal w

Oura vs Ringconn

Rings are generally not the best for step tracking. I recently got the oura gen 4 and I saw it undercounts steps a little bit in comparison to my galaxy watch 7(which I've tested is fairly accurate). Aside from that I absolutely love the sleep tracking and other vitals are quite accurate too

Early adopter experience

3.5yrs is unusually long for an Oura Gen 2. 18 months has been my experience (same as Gen 3). My Gen 4 so far has been replaced at 6 months...twice. All were replaced (with refurbished) whether under warranty or not...but that has not been a universal experience lately from what I've heard. And, to

Seeking advice: Is Oura 4 still the king for sleep/stress in 2026 or is RingConn 3 better?

First of all, trust that MOD, he knows what’s up. Next, I’m just a normal human using this stuff, so no expertise here, just personal experience. I’ve had an Oura Gen 4 for 15 months. I have really enjoyed the data that I’ve gotten from it and have been able to make tangible changes and glean action

Need Help finding ring to buy

A bit off on the "infancy" stage. Smart Rings have been around for over 10 years now. Oura Gen 1 launched March 2015, Motiv with the first in a traditional ring format in 2017. The problem right now is that the increased demand has resulted in the battery supplier pushing lower quality batteries...t

Wearable with continuous AFIB monitoring that is NOT a bulky watch

I have the oura ring gen 4 and it detected tychardia when my Apple Watch didn’t. The oura ring doesn’t detect afib but it does let you know if it sees signs that something’s off with your body. I’ve generally found it to be very accurate.
