I found the Best One-Bag for me: Thule Aion Duffle 35L

Duffels are a problem for air travel carry on for a couple reasons. First of all many have the wrong dimensions with a square cross section and leaving one dimension too big and not fully utilizing the available space for the other. The Aion is a good example at 20.5 x 12.6 x 11.8 in. Compare to the

FarPoint/FairView old vs. new side-by-side comparison

Just my thoughts: I had the Farpoint 40L and then changed to Osprey Unisex Sojourn Porter 46L. It's already a huge game changer to hide the Hip-Belt.. it has more advantages but fast YouTube search explains it better. If someone looks at the Farpoint/Fairview look at the Sojourn Porter.

Looking for the ultimate hybrid travel & work bag!

I think you want an Osprey Sojourn. I have the older version (Porter 30) and with the Sojourn they added a luggage strap. It reduces down to 25 liters for a Ryanair personal item or expands to 30 liters for an easyJet personal item. The comfort is unmatched for the other bags I have tried (top loade

Do I Need the New 2026 Patagonia Refugio 30L?

I had a look at the old and the new side-by-side yesterday and prefer the old. The shop models were stuffed with pillows, so I got a decent sense of how they would look when filled, but of course not how they would carry with a proper full load. . The new version has the laptop section in the back w

After 3 years of gradually packing lighter, ready to ditch the checked bag entirely for a 17-day, 5-city trip. Where does the jump get hard?

Check out Osprey bags. I have the 46L porter and it's a backpack style but still fits carry on size for most flights, and the backpack style makes it especially great for tons of locations where elevators aren't always available or you're walking a few blocks with a bag.

Get by with Mini MLC or worth it to buy 40L?

I'm required to do this in two comments! So here is my dislikes, but maybe you'd like them. These are the bags I didn't like, but are carry-on: - Osprey Sojourn Porter: I loved this bag and thought it was comfy, but then realized it doesn't have an internal frame (... why not?! it would work for us

best backpack for hEDS and fibromyalgia!

Try checking out the Osprey Porter 30 pack! A bit pricey but I’ve had it for 6 years and it’s barely beaten up. Mind you I’m not terribly delicate with it either. The hip supports are great!

Packing advice

I would go with the 32 liter version for better overhead compliance. The Eagle Creek Cargo Hauler 40 is even better. For a duffel like bag with a better backpack harness, consider the Osprey Sojourn Porter 46 or a used Porter 46. It carries far better than the convertible duffels.

General aviation luggage

Osprey Porter 46. Mine been all over the world in overhead bins, and all over the US with GA. As a backpack, it’s easy to carry for those long walks when the FBO parks you in the back 40. Much better than a roller bag when traveling in Europe also. https://www.osprey.com/sojourn-porter-46l-porter46f

Having Trouble Choosint a 40L Pack!

Even if Fairview/Farpoint don’t work for you specifically, I am an Osprey girl through and through because of the hip belts. No one else’s harness tech holds a candle to them imo. I also need a good hip belt due to disability, and while I resisted a “technical” bag bc of how it looked for a long tim
