10/9/25 edit - I used this on our two week multi location trip and it worked very well! The clips to hold the 15l daypack on the front worked really well to balance the load on my shoulders and free up my hands to help family with their bags up and down stairs and on and off the train. My son got on

I used a 55L Osprey farpoint which is essentially a 40L + 15L for an entire month of travel. It was great in SEA because a lot of commute was with motorbikes and a suitcase would not be convenient. The backpack is enough for 1.5 weeks of clothes and I would do laundry in hotels. I'd also buy clothes

If a lot of your daughter’s kit is spread among other bags then you can pull it off! But that means bigger bags than your mid-sized Allpa. Bigger bags are more comfortable with a waist belt to carry the load, and you can add a monkey bag for food… like the Osprey Farpoint/Fairview 55, which is a 40L

Try an osprey farpoint 55 without the day pack nothing on the outside, empty inside except two minimalist pockets on the sides of the bag and two straps to hold stuff in place. Took it backpacking for two weeks and to the eu for 3 perfect both times

It‘s the Osprey Farpoint Daypack. It comes along with the Farpoint 55 - I prefer the layout of the Farpoint 40. That‘s why I just purchased it separately. 😉 If 15l is enough, I quite like it with the Farpoint 40 as it rests neatly one in another, no slipping, no moving, just well clipped into each o

Are you deadset on Wandrd? There are a lot of companies that look at photographers and see dollar signs when it comes to selling bags. When traveling, I use the insert from a LowePro Nova Sport 35L AW bag inside a Timbuk2 bike messenger bag or an Osprey Farpoint 55 internal frame pack. Domke also ma

I have the Osprey stuff pack/ sack (I think that’s what it’s called). But recently purchased the Osprey Farpoint 55 which is a 40L main pack (with great design and fitment) with an additional 15L daypack which is amazing re fitment, adjustability, and design. It attaches to the rear of the main 40L

I agree with you. I tend to find the laptop space in larger bags more annoying than useful. I bought the Osprey Farpoint 55 over the 40 just to have the, in my opinion, better 40l bag. I don't think I have used the 15l day pack, but the increased price was worth it for the large pack without the "ex

Have the osprey farpoint 55 which is just the farpoint with a 15L day bag. It’s amazing for travel. I took it on a trip to a few countries in Europe and then to Japan and it was extremely convenient to use. The space and the way it opens makes packing very easy and the 15L day pack was also really g
